New Milford readers, listen up—this isn’t just another summer sale. It’s your last shot at literary gold for 24+ months!
The Friends of the New Milford Public Library have confirmed on their official page that the 2024 Annual Summer Book Sale—running July 11–13 at New Milford High School—will be their final event for at least two years, all because of upcoming library construction.
And they’re not sugarcoating it:
“Due to the library construction, this will be our LAST book sale for at least 2 years! Think ahead and STOCK up!!”
Here’s Your Game Plan:
- Thursday, July 11:
- 9–10 a.m.: Early Bird Hour – $5 admission for first access
- 10 a.m.–7 p.m.: FREE entry for everyone
- Friday, July 12:
- 10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Full browsing, relaxed vibes
- Saturday, July 13:
- 10 a.m.–2 p.m.: HALF-PRICE BOOK BLOWOUT! Every single book—half off!
Imagine shelves stacked with novels that transport you, cookbooks that inspire dinner parties, kids’ books that spark imagination, and nonfiction that changes your worldview—all priced to disappear.
But after Saturday, July 13?
No sales. No events. Just a two-year wait until the library reopens.
So don’t just go—you go prepared. Bring reusable totes, collapsible crates, and your biggest book-loving energy.
This is more than a sale.
It’s your last literary lifeline until 2027.
Don’t miss it:
